I will be a postdoctoral research associate in Philosophy at Princeton University from Fall 2024 onwards, working with Lara Buchak and Andrew Chignell as part of the PRÉCIS project. I obtained my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University (2018-2024). I did my M.A. in Philosophy and B.A. in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Boğaziçi University in İstanbul, Turkey. My primary interests are in philosophy of language, Islamic philosophy and philosophy of artificial intelligence. I am originally from Havza, Samsun, a little town in northern Turkey with excellent hot springs. I have been Type-1 diabetic since 2002.

I have wide-ranging interests. At the moment I have three broad active projects: (i) exploring a constructivist approach to meaning and communication; (ii) reconstructing the philosophical legacy of 9-12th century Islamic world and (iii) philosophical issues in information processing in human and AI systems.
